Amazon Philippines
📍 Metro Manila, Philippines
Amazon Philippines operates one of the company's largest Southeast Asian workforce hubs in Metro Manila — a multi-floor operations centre where the quality and reliability of the working environment directly affects the productivity and wellbeing of thousands of employees. The scale of the installation, combined with Amazon's rigorous global facilities standards, placed this project among the most demanding corporate lighting commissions Lumitron has executed.
The project's operational core — large open-plan floors supporting Amazon's customer service, operations, and technology teams — used Signify's Interact connected lighting platform integrated with the building's BMS. This enables facilities management to monitor energy consumption in real time, automate daylight-responsive dimming through ceiling-mounted sensors, and generate occupancy-based reports that feed directly into Amazon's global sustainability reporting framework. The system is designed to target a 40% reduction in lighting energy against a conventional switched-circuit baseline.
High-turnover ancillary areas — break rooms, corridors, stairwells, and server-adjacent spaces — used Panasonic LED troffer and panel luminaires, specified for their Class 1 flicker performance and their proven track record in the Philippines' climate conditions. Panasonic's local service infrastructure also ensures that maintenance response times meet Amazon's SLA requirements — a non-negotiable in a 24/7 operational environment.
Amazon Philippines is Lumitron's largest single corporate lighting deployment to date — and a proof point that we have the logistical capability, technical depth, and supply-chain resilience to execute enterprise-scale smart lighting projects in the Philippines for the world's most demanding clients.
