Club United in Parañaque is Metro Manila's premium multi-sport destination — a facility housing international-standard tennis courts, badminton halls, a fitness centre, and a members' lounge that serves a clientele who expect both sporting excellence and social comfort from their club environment. The lighting specification needed to serve both masters: technical performance on the courts and genuine hospitality warmth in the member-facing spaces.

The court lighting used Signify's LED floodlight array, configured to deliver a maintained 500 lux horizontal and 400 lux vertical illuminance — the ITF-standard specification for club-level competition play. The system was designed to allow section-by-section switching, enabling the facility to light only occupied courts during off-peak hours and significantly reducing energy consumption against the previous metal-halide installation. The instant-on capability of LED also eliminates the re-strike delay that was a persistent operational irritant with the legacy HID system.

The locker rooms, restaurant, and members' lounge received a distinct, hospitality-inflected specification using Panasonic LED downlights at 3000K — a deliberate departure from the neutral tones of the court area, signalling to members that they have transitioned from performance mode to relaxation mode. This kind of deliberate tonal zoning is central to how Lumitron approaches multi-use facilities: each zone should feel right for its purpose, and the transition between zones should be perceptible.

Club United demonstrates that premium sports facility lighting in the Philippines requires a supplier with fluency in both the technical photometric standards of international sport and the ambient design sensibility of contemporary hospitality.
