Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila, managed by AccorHotels and positioned in the heart of the Ortigas Center business district, serves a guest profile that is equal parts corporate traveller and long-stay resident. The lighting brief therefore had to balance the focused task-lighting demands of a working professional with the residential warmth expected by guests staying for weeks rather than days.

Lumitron approached the project through a zone-by-zone analysis. Suite living areas and kitchenettes received Prolicht's Chip recessed downlights on dimmer — allowing guests to move between a crisp 4000K, 500-lux working mode and a relaxed 2700K, 100-lux evening setting from a single bedside scene controller. Bathrooms used Prolicht's Slim mirror-mount luminaires at CRI 97 — clinically important for guests who need accurate colour rendering when dressing for client meetings.

The hotel's shared F&B and lounge spaces used Panasonic LED downlights in the mid-spec zones, providing cost-efficient, flicker-free illumination for high-turnover areas where aesthetic premium was secondary to operational longevity.
