Mövenpick Hotel Manila Bay

The Mövenpick Hotel Manila Bay occupies one of the Philippine capital's most storied addresses — a waterfront position on Manila Bay where sunsets are internationally celebrated and the city skyline performs nightly. The lighting scheme needed to hold its own against that spectacular backdrop: confident enough to define a destination hotel, restrained enough to allow the bay view to remain the protagonist.

Lumitron's specification centred on Prolicht's Skim recessed downlights in the lobby and all-day-dining areas — a fixture whose 15mm aperture diameter is so minimal it effectively disappears into the ceiling plane, allowing guests to experience the quality of light without ever seeing the source. This "invisible infrastructure" approach is characteristic of Lumitron's hotel lighting philosophy: the fitting should serve the space, never compete with it.

Guest floors and the signature rooftop bar received a layered scheme: ambient downlighting at 2700K for the base plane, Prolicht track systems for accent and artwork lighting, and Signify Interact connected lighting at the property management level — enabling the maintenance team to monitor lamp hours, schedule scene changes for F&B events, and receive predictive failure alerts before a lamp outage becomes a guest-experience incident.

The installation covers 470 rooms and suites, seven F&B outlets, two ballrooms, and a 25-metre rooftop pool. Mövenpick Hotel Manila Bay is a showcase for Lumitron's ability to execute large-scale, multi-zone hotel lighting projects in Metro Manila within international brand standards and challenging Philippine construction timelines.
