The Farm at San Benito in Lipa, Batangas, holds a singular position among Philippine luxury resorts: it is a genuine medical wellness destination, regularly cited by Condé Nast Traveller as one of Asia's best spa resorts, and it attracts guests whose primary motivation is healing — not recreation. The lighting brief that arrived on Lumitron's desk was therefore unlike any hotel project we had previously encountered: the lighting must never interfere with the healing process.

This single requirement shaped every decision. Lumitron specified SORAA GaN-on-GaN lamps at 2200K throughout the villa interiors — a colour temperature clinically associated with the promotion of melatonin production and circadian rhythm alignment. Unlike competing LED products that achieve "warm white" by filtering blue light out of a cool-white source, SORAA's violet-chip technology generates warm white light that is spectrally complete, avoiding the blue-light spike that disrupts sleep hormones even at low intensities.

For the covered walkways connecting the villas to the wellness centre, Lumitron used Prolicht's Curve recessed LED strip profile — a minimal, unobtrusive luminaire that provides 30 lux of guidance lighting without any visible lamp source, maintaining the resort's commitment to landscape immersion. All exterior paths are deliberately low-lux: bright enough for safe navigation, dark enough that guests can see the stars from every point on the property.
