Specify a Driver →These are not preferences. They are the constraints that decide whether a scheme commissions cleanly or comes back as a warranty claim, and we apply them to every driver schedule we issue.
A 100W run takes a 125W driver or larger. The headroom keeps the unit off its thermal ceiling, where efficiency drops and life shortens.
160W is the largest 12V constant voltage driver in the range. Runs above it split across two drivers — plan the feed positions at design stage, not on site.
There is no dimmable 12V constant voltage driver and no Triac constant voltage driver in the range. If the run must dim, specify 24V with 0-10V or DALI-2.

Total the connected load, then specify a driver rated at least 1.25 times that figure — a 100W run wants a 125W driver or larger. The 25% headroom keeps the driver off its thermal ceiling, which is where efficiency falls and life shortens. Every Eaglerise unit we specify carries over-temperature protection with a published maximum ambient of 45°C and case temperature of 80–85°C, but headroom at design stage is what stops you relying on it.
A constant voltage driver holds a fixed output voltage — 12V, 24V or 48V — and the load draws whatever current it needs. That is what LED strip, Neonflex and magnetic track are built for. A constant current driver holds a fixed current, typically 160mA to 1050mA, and lets the voltage float across the forward voltage of the array. That is what downlights, spots and MR16 modules need. They are not interchangeable: putting a strip on a constant current driver, or a module on constant voltage, damages the load.
No. Eaglerise makes no dimmable 12V constant voltage driver and no Triac constant voltage driver at any voltage. If the run must dim, specify 24V, where 0-10V and DALI-2 are both available — for example the LS-150-24 0-10 LI at 150W, or the LS-150-24 DALI-2 LI1. If the design is fixed at 12V and must dim from a wall dimmer, that driver has to come from another manufacturer. We would rather tell you at specification stage than at commissioning.
IP67 is total protection against dust and against immersion in water to one metre for thirty minutes. In practice it means the driver body is potted and can sit in an exterior cove, a soffit or a landscape enclosure without a separate weatherproof box. Our sealed range is the VTS series, from the 24W VTS-24-12 up to the 160W VTS-160-12, VTS-160-24 and VTS-160-48. IP20 units carry no such protection and are strictly indoor, in a dry, ventilated void.
Eaglerise is a Shenzhen-listed manufacturer (stock code 002922) established in 1999, holding over 300 patents, with CE and CB certification across the range and a five-year warranty. For a specifier the practical points are the published thermal data — every series states its maximum ambient and case temperature and carries over-temperature protection — and the fact that a listed manufacturer can still be held to a warranty in year four.
