What hospitality demands

Four rooms, four problems, one lighting scheme

A hotel is not one space. Each area answers to a different guest expectation — and a different operator constraint. This is where hospitality lighting is won or lost.

Guestrooms

Warm 2700K light that flatters skin and reads as rest, not office. Bedside scene control a guest understands in the dark on the first night. Glare kept out of the sightline from the pillow, and enough task light to actually read by.

Lobbies & arrival

The first thirty seconds set the property's price point. Vertical light on stone and timber, a focal fixture that anchors the volume, and contrast held through the day so the space still has drama at noon and intimacy at midnight.

F&B & bars

Light that makes the plate look like the menu photo — high CRI, tight beams on the table, faces flattered across it. Scene control that moves a room from breakfast bright to bar-dark without staff touching a dimmer they don't understand.

Back of house & operations

Corridors, service areas and plant rooms that engineering can maintain without scaffolding a suite. Fixtures specified for the heat and salt air of an island resort, and controls commissioned so scenes still work in year three.

Brands & products for hospitality

What we specify in a hotel, and why

We are brand-agnostic about the answer and specific about the reason. These are the four we reach for most in hospitality — each for a job the others do not do as well.

Lumitron SignatureOur own range
Lobbies · corridors · architectural detail

Our own architectural range, developed around the way Philippine projects are actually built and budgeted. Signature covers the families a hotel needs in volume — recessed and trimless downlights, surface and track, linear and cove — with the optics, glare control and aperture detailing a specifier expects, at a cost that survives value engineering rather than triggering it. Because the range is ours, the specification is ours: we can adapt an optic, a finish or a trim to suit the project. And when a fitting needs attention in year four, you are dealing with our team here — not a lead time measured in months.

SoraaUnited States
Guestrooms · F&B · anywhere colour matters

Built on the GaN-on-GaN work of Nobel laureate Shuji Nakamura, Soraa delivers CRI 95+ light that renders skin, food and material honestly. Specified where a guest sees themselves in a mirror or a diner sees the plate — the difference between a suite that photographs well and one that quietly looks wrong.

ZicoUnited Kingdom
Decorative · statement · focal pieces

Decorative and statement fixtures for the moments a hotel is remembered by — the lobby chandelier, the sculptural pendant over the bar, the feature that ends up in the guest's photograph. Chosen for the focal point, and detailed so it still reads as architecture rather than ornament.

Philips DynaliteMultinational
Scene control · GRMS · infrastructure

Controls and system infrastructure that tie the scheme together — guestroom scene control and GRMS integration, DALI across public areas, and the back-of-house lighting an operator specifies once and maintains for a decade. Commissioned by our team, not left in a box.
