Mendokoro Ramenba

Mendokoro Ramenba is one of the most beloved Japanese ramen destinations in Metro Manila — a concept that has grown from a single intimate location in Salcedo Village to multiple branches across the city, each maintaining the same exacting standards that made the original a cult destination. Scaling a lighting specification across multiple sites without diluting the atmosphere that defines the brand is a challenge that requires a supply partner with both technical consistency and reliable stock availability.

Lumitron was engaged as the preferred lighting supplier across the Mendokoro expansion programme, providing SORAA MR16 lamps as the primary accent source at each location. The decision to standardise on SORAA across all branches was driven by a single insight: a bowl of tonkotsu ramen, with its opaque ivory broth, glistening chashu pork, and bright yellow ramen eggs, looks dramatically different under SORAA's full-spectrum violet-chip light compared to any commodity LED alternative. The food is the star; the light makes the star shine.

Zico Dim-to-Warm linear LED was used in the under-counter and shelf-lighting positions — providing the amber warmth that makes Mendokoro's sake collection and counter mise-en-place look curated rather than stacked, and creating a visual rhythm that guides the eye from the entrance counter through to the open kitchen at the rear of each location.

The Mendokoro project demonstrates Lumitron's capability as a multi-site restaurant lighting supplier in the Philippines — maintaining product consistency, delivering on tight opening timelines, and providing ongoing lamp supply support as individual locations require maintenance replacements over the years.
