12/10 Restaurant
📍 Rockwell Center, Makati, Metro Manila
12/10 Restaurant in Rockwell Center, Makati, is one of Metro Manila's most distinctive dining experiences — a Japanese izakaya format where a carefully curated vinyl soundtrack is as integral to the evening as the omakase menu. The brand proposition is sensory totality: every element must contribute to a unified atmosphere, and nothing may betray its own mechanism. Lighting, above all, must be felt rather than seen.
Lumitron specified SORAA PAR20 and MR16 lamps throughout the dining floor and private dining room — selected specifically for the visual quality they produce on food. SORAA's Violet-Chip technology creates a spectral output that renders the glistening fat marbling on wagyu, the translucency of fresh sashimi, and the caramelised char on a grilled robatayaki skewer with a fidelity that conventional LED lamps cannot match. This is not a marginal improvement: in blind comparisons conducted during the specification phase, 12/10's chef team unanimously preferred SORAA across every food category tested.
architectural track luminaires were deployed at the bar counter and sake display wall — allowing the front-of-house team to precisely direct attention onto the bottle collection and bar mise-en-place as visual focal anchors in the room. The track system's tool-free beam adjustment capability means the display can be reconfigured seasonally without any technical intervention.
12/10 is a project that affirms the intersection of food culture and lighting craft in Manila's F&B scene — and a demonstration that SORAA's exclusive Philippine distributor, Lumitron, is the natural partner for any restaurateur serious about the visual quality of the experience they are creating.
